I photographed forty weddings at home and in some pretty magical places around the world. I met forty welcoming families, (actually, 80!) forty amazing friend groups, forty unique couples.
I started the year off in snowy Whistler for an incredible outdoor winter wedding at Nita Lake Lodge. That was pure magic, and the perfect start to 2016.
The spring brought an elopement on the Sunshine Coast, and a big German wedding in Heidelberg. That was my first time in Germany and I enjoyed exploring the city with my camera in hand. I travelled alone but made some wonderful friends along the way, and even had a chance to shoot with my friend Aaron Schwartz, a talented Swiss ski photographer and designer.
When summer arrived, I was shooting up to three weddings a week. I joined couples in Whistler, Squamish, Tofino, the Okanagan, Agassiz and Vancouver to name a few. I shot mostly outdoor weddings that showcased BC’s beautiful scenery.
The fall brought some stunning weddings that landed features on my favourite wedding blog, Once Wed, and magazine, Magnolia Rouge (stay tuned for publishing dates). September is always one of my favourite months cialis generique for weddings, and it’s usually my busiest month. This year was no exception.
After wrapping up my last local wedding of the year in Whistler, I hopped on a plane for two unforgettable destination weddings.
I returned home to Vancouver for two weeks, with one more wedding to shoot. The one I had been looking forward to all year. Ballyseede Castle in Ireland! Ireland is one of my favourite places to travel, so having the opportunity to join Paul, Katie and their families was everything. Ireland has my heart for many reasons, but it is the charming people and the natural beauty that are unforgettable. I highly recommend visiting.
The launch of my print shop and a new website were big goals for 2016, and I’m proud to have those up and running. I was overwhelmed by your print shop orders over the holidays, thank you all for your support!
One of the biggest honours was having editors and publications recognize my work this year: Once Wed, Real Weddings Magazine, Magnolia Rouge Magazine and Wedding Sparrow. I shot my first magazine cover for Real Weddings Magazine, which hit newsstands today! This was made possible by the talented wedding professionals I worked with this year: planners, stylists, florists, hair and makeup, dress boutiques. You all are amazing. Narcity Vancouver named me one of the top Vancouver wedding photographers that will magically capture your day alongside some really talented artists in the city.
While it is wonderful to be recognized within the industry, it is my clients I want to give a big hug too. Thank you, each and every one of you, who hired me to capture your wedding. It is a privilege to capture the joy and excitement of your day, one I certainly do not take lightly. I had a blast working with you. Thank you for your trust in my work.
2017 is going to be unreal. Stay tuned for my first wedding in France, a return visit to Maui, some adventures in Australia and, of course, tons of magic right here in BC.
Ashleigh and Evret were married on a mountaintop in beautiful Squamish, BC. Ashleigh’s backless Katie May gown from Union bridal was perfect for the outdoor setting. The reception space on the deck offered endless views of the Squamish valley. Everyone gathered for a long table, family style dinner under the stars before the singing and dancing began!
Ashleigh and Evret, you two are one of a kind! Thank you for choosing me to be the one to capture your day. Your love for one another was magic, I wish you all the best as you adventure through life together.
There is nothing I love more than a couple who wants to feel like themselves on their https://www.viagrapascherfr.com/guide-achat-viagra/ wedding day. Understated and relaxed, this Rue de Seine gown is the perfect look for that undone bride. Lotta’s makeup was perfectly her, while her hair was loose and relaxed. Julian’s earthy blue suit and undone button-up complemented not only his bride, but also the seaside setting.
The most lush of bouquets added a sense of warmth, while the paper goods were beautiful ocean tones.
Thank you to all of the amazing professionals who brought this vision to life, you are all masters of your craft. A special thank you to Jen for taking my workshop.
